When the indicator light(s) are on
or flashing, the repeller is working. Different types of A-Repeller work in different ways. If the repeller has A-Guard ultrasound only, the light stays on constantly to show that the product
is working correctly. If the repeller has both A-Guard ultrasound and ElectroPulse, the green/blue light stays on constantly and the red one alternates between flashing and steady.

The advanced A-Guard ultrasound pattern spreads through open spaces. Because of its physical properties, ultrasound cannot pass through solid objects such as furniture, cabinets, walls or ceilings. Soft textiles, such as upholstery, absorb sound. The repeller should therefore be positioned so that the ultrasound can spread as freely as possible.

All A-Repeller MR repellers emit variable, adaptive A-Guard ultrasound. Rodents find it stressful and disturbing, so they avoid these spaces. The ultrasound creates an unpleasant environment for mice and rats across an open area of 20–130 square metres, depending on the model. The Repel 60, MR80 DG2, MR100 DG3 and MR130 DG4 models also include ElectroPulse. The electromagnetic pulses complement the effect of the ultrasound and are designed to stop rodents using cable runs as pathways.

Mice and rats communicate using ultrasound. The adaptive
A-Guard ultrasound disrupts their natural way of communicating and
their protective instinct. They experience it as stressful and disturbing, so they leave.

The human ear normally can't detect the ultrasound emitted by the repellers, but in some cases people may perceive high frequencies.

In Winter mode, the frequency range is adapted to cause stress and
scare away all rodents. In Summer mode, the frequency range is adapted to also repel crawling insects, such as spiders. They cause trouble
specifically in the summer. That's why the installation mode is called Summer.

Different modes use different frequency ranges. Summer mode emits ultrasound
on a random scale within a lower frequency range than Winter mode.

If you select Winter mode, the repeller emits sound in a high
frequency range that the human ear cannot detect.

ElectroPulse electromagnetic pulses complement the effect of the ultrasound. They are designed to stop rodents using cable runs as pathways. The repeller is suitable for spaces where
other electrical devices are permanently connected to the mains. Thanks to the combination of ultrasound and
electromagnetic pulses, mice and rats feel uncomfortable and leave the premises.

Mice often move between floors and rooms along cable runs
inside the walls. They also gnaw cable insulation, which can cause short circuits and a fire risk. ElectroPulse varies the strength of the electromagnetic field
in the live wires of the house's electrical system. This affects mice and rats so that they avoid the electrical cables and thus the pulses.

No. It affects the magnetic field that forms around cables
connected to live units. These include things like lamps,
the refrigerator and radiators that are connected to the house's electrical network and whose
power is switched on.

When the repeller is connected to a wall socket, that socket is electrically connected to the house's electrical network. This is why the repeller affects the network regardless of which socket it's plugged into. However, the effect weakens if the repeller's socket is far from other parts of the house's electrical network.

ElectroPulse causes the strength of the electromagnetic field to
vary. Variations in the electromagnetic field affect mice's and rats'
learning ability and spatial perception, causing them to avoid electrical cables and therefore the pulses.

ElectroPulse spreads through live wires connected to the same fuse box. If the home has two separate fuse boxes with their own power supply,
the best protection is achieved by using two repellers.

A magnetic field forms automatically around all live power
cables. The load must be at least 40 W for the resulting
magnetic field to be strong enough. In some electrical installations where
lead-sheathed cables have been used, the magnetic field is weaker.

If all electrical appliances are switched off, the device may not work properly. The repeller uses only 0.5–4.0 watts depending on the model, so it doesn't create a strong enough magnetic field in the electrical network for the pulses to work. The electrical network's
load must be at least 40 watts for the intended effect
to be achieved.

No, they do not affect other electrical devices.

No, the repeller does not harm animals. The ultrasound emitted by the repeller makes
mice and rats feel unsafe in spaces where the repeller is present. This is why rodents leave the premises.

Silverline products are harmless to children, cats, dogs,
birds and fish. They cause no interference with computers, televisions or
similar devices. The ultrasound from A-Repeller repellers for mice, rats and spiders affects pet rodents such as hamsters and guinea pigs, so these must not be kept in the same or adjacent
rooms as the repeller. Pets may react to the KV 300, MA50 and MA200 repellers, but they are not harmful to them.

They contain electronics that are just as sensitive to voltage surges as
computers and televisions. They can be protected from surges by placing a so-called
surge protector between the repeller and the wall socket. The warranty becomes void if the repeller has been exposed to a voltage surge.

All Silverline products consume only a little energy. MR30 - 1 W MR30 - 1 W MR50 - 0.5 W. MR80 DG2 - 1.8 W MR100 DG3 - 3.5 W MR130 DG4 - 4 W.

Choose the product according to the size of the spaces to be protected, how
many floors the house has and how big the mouse problem is. We recommend starting with a product that has both A-Guard and ElectroPulse functions and placing it in the ground-floor space where the problem is worst. Also place at least one A-Repeller with A-Guard in the problem rooms on other floors, including the basement and attic. Choose products according to room size. These two repellers feature Double Guard (A-Guard +

The batteries in the A-Repeller MR50 Battery last about 5–6 months.

Our products are designed to be used for long periods without problems. They are made from electronic components that do not have a limited service life. Taking the following into account will prevent their life from being shortened. Use and store indoor devices only in dry spaces. Do not expose indoor products to direct sunlight for long periods. Do not operate the device at too high a voltage.

The product has a two-year warranty against possible manufacturing defects. The warranty therefore does not cover faults caused by using the device with too high a voltage. The warranty becomes void if the device has been damaged or otherwise altered by the buyer.

It's suitable for use in houses, storage spaces, garages, summer cottages and other indoor spaces to scare away mice and rats. A-Repeller repellers with ElectroPulse are suitable for use in spaces where other electrical appliances are constantly connected to the electrical network

Remember that ultrasound cannot pass through solid objects such as
furniture, cabinet doors, walls and ceilings. Soft textiles, such as
upholstery and curtains, dampen the spread of sound. Hard surfaces block its path. Plug the repeller into a wall socket in as open a location as possible.

Plug the repeller into a low-level socket in as
open a location as possible, in the room where you suspect mice are moving about. Remember that high-frequency sound cannot pass through solid materials such as walls, ceilings and floors, and that soft materials dampen it.

The repeller works in all indoor spaces. The ultrasound is most effective when
the repeller is placed in an open space where no solid objects, such as furniture or doors, block its spread. The MR80 DG2, MR100 DG and MR130 DG4 are suitable for spaces where other electrical devices are permanently
connected to the mains, as ElectroPulse will not work otherwise. The ultrasound, however, always works.

The MR130 DG repeller is designed for this kind of environment because it has
an IP55 rating (dust- and splash-proof). Other A-Repeller MR repellers are intended for installation in dry indoor spaces. We do not recommend installing these
repellers outdoors, as their sensitive electronics do not work
in damp environments.

In normal winter temperatures, the repellers work as usual. Severe frost below -20 degrees can affect how the repellers function.

No, the ultrasound requires the repeller to be placed in a room that has
walls, a ceiling and a floor in order to work as intended. If the repeller
is placed somewhere without these enclosing surfaces, the ultrasound is
too weak, and the intended effect is not achieved.

If all electrical appliances are switched off, the electromagnetic pulses may not work. The repeller uses only 3.5–4.0 watts depending on the model, so it doesn't create a strong enough magnetic field in the electrical network for the pulses to work. The ultrasound, however, still works as a deterrent.

If there's enough food available in the house, rodents may
still come, despite the repellers, to for example the kitchen cabinet where the bin is kept. The urge to find food is powerful. Usually, however, the ultrasound prevents rodents from entering the kitchen and scares them back outside.

A-Repeller MR effectively repels rodents, such as mice and rats.
The ultrasound also affects pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and other rodents, so they must not be kept in the same or adjacent rooms as the repeller.

Once mice and rats have found a place with food
and warmth, they won't leave easily, even if you install a repeller. The repeller irritates them, but their survival instinct is strong once they have found food, so they still won't flee from the sound. In that case it's worth trying to solve the pest problem by using traps temporarily. Once the rodents have been caught, it is important to remove the baited traps so that no more pests are drawn to the spot. It's also wise to keep the premises clean, because mice/rats leave scent trails (grease from their fur) that they follow and that give them a sense of security. Without these trails, new pests are
less likely to venture inside, especially if an
A-Repeller is in use.

Normally the change is noticeable right away. Sometimes it takes longer. If there are already mice in the space, they become active after the repeller is installed, before they leave for outside. You can also temporarily use traps to get rid of the existing rodent population faster.

At the start of treatment, or in spaces the ultrasound cannot reach, traditional traps can be used as an extra measure. Remember, though, that trap baits attract mice.

Mice in the attic are usually hard to get rid of. Attics
are used to store lots of things, such as cardboard boxes and clothes.
A-Guard ultrasound cannot pass through cardboard boxes or other solid objects. The same applies if the mice are in insulated parts of the attic. A-Repeller spreads ultrasound only into open spaces, so mice may be hiding in the insulation, behind cardboard boxes or inside other items. In that case, traditional traps should be used as an extra measure.

That cupboard often holds a waste bin, which attracts mice.
Mice have a very strong instinct to forage, often stronger than their fear of external dangers. That's why it is important not to give them any chance of finding food. Leftovers or pet food must not be left within their reach. If mice are able to find food, they will be harder to get rid of later. Store dry foods, for example, in closed containers and sealed spaces. You can place the MR30 repeller in the cupboard and block the gaps around pipe entries with, for example, Silverline steel wool. If the A-Repeller is placed outside the cupboard, the ultrasound will not reach inside it.
